The perks of being a farm kid
Sometimes (SOMETIMES) there are perks that come with being a farm kid. In this case, having your dad wheel you around in the wheel barrow while you do chores is one of those perks. Ahhhh, the life!
Macro moth
We found this giant moth at Burke’s baseball game last week. I didn’t have my camera so I attempted one of our macro shots with my iPhone. I think my shaky hands prevented us from capturing it well, but nonetheless, it was a fascinating bug to find!
Parched
Imagine being really really really thirsty. Imagine having no water. And the minute you stop and think about how thirsty you are and that you have no water, you get even thirstier.
This is the game we are playing right now with our animals. We’ve had little to no rain for at least 8 weeks, if not more. It’s been so long, we’ve lost count.
No rain means no grass. No grass means...

Last week, Burke gave a speech for a 4H Prince competition (in front of a room of people, including 2 judges) in which he had to say in 3 minutes or less what he would take if he had 5 minutes before a natural disaster occurred?
